
How to Vote
Election Day:
Saturday, October 17 ​

Advance Voting:

​​Who Can Vote:
-
Voters must be 18 years of age or older.

Have been a resident of BC for at least six months;

Be a resident of Chilliwack on the day you register to vote; and,
-
Not be disqualified under the Local Government Act, or otherwise disqualified by law.

Indigenous voters on reserve

Students can vote once--either in the jurisdiction where they attend school or in their home jurisdiction.
​​Where to Vote:
Vote at any polling place in the city. Locations TBA.
Voter Identification:
Bring two pieces of ID that, together, show who you are and where you live. At least one piece must have your signature.
Mail-in Voting:
Request a mail ballot online from September 1, 2026, to October 14, 2026. If you need help, call the city at 604-793-2986. The voter is responsible for ensuring the city receives their mail ballot by 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
